Runescape is one of the longer running MMORPGs still available today, this year they’re celebrating their 15th birthday! How are the developers at Jagex celebrating it? Why they’re making a card game of course! (They also have great plans for Runescape this year.) Chronicle: Runescape Legends is that card game. It is currently in closed beta and Jagex has plans to invite more players to try out the game very soon.
Runescape isn’t the first fantasy game to get a card game. It started with Blizzard’s Hearthstone which is set in the Warcraft universe. During E3 2015 Bethesda announced they would be making a card game based in their ever popular Elder Scrolls universe. Sadly this title has been delayed for the time being with no beta in sight.
At the moment there isn’t a whole lot of information on Chronicle: Runscape Legends, but lead designer James Sweatman hopes to fix that with a great new interview. In it he answers questions about development, the inspiration behind the game, and what future plans you can look forward to. Learn everything you need to know about Chronicle: Runescape Legends right now in the interview with James Sweatman.
